Robert L. Even was a professor in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Northern Illinois University. Funding by the National Endowment for the Arts (Grant No. 91-4216-0109) enabled Prof. Even to conduct a series of taped interviews with Chicago designers Robert Vogele, John Massey, Ralph Eckerstrom, Hayward Blake, Morton Goldsholl, and Susan Jackson Keig.
